About me
I was born in Japan and have been living in Germany since 2004.
I began to play the piano at the age of 4 and wrote my first composition at 6. Since then, I enjoyed several opportunities to compose, arrange and play diverse instruments such as piano, organ, horn, drums, guitar, mallets and more.
After graduating from university in Japan (Liberal arts, BA), I went to Germany to study music therapy. During my university time I had the opportunity to expand my musical fields - for example I got to know diverse „exotic“ music and instruments (e.g. latin American, Indian, African), improvisation and experimental music. I also deeply thought about the definition of „music“ - for example „what is music?“, „Differences between music and noise?“ or „is there pleasant and unpleasant music?“. All in all it was totally exiting and fulfilling!

Currently, besides my work as music therapist I’m studying composition as an online student at the „Berklee college of music“. I’m glad that I could acquire experiences from vastly different fields and approaches around music and am sure that it all enriches my work in composition.
