I am a music lover who starts trusting herself to call herself a composer - still a beginner but enthusiastic!   

 

As I look back at my musical career,  I have rather looked around diverse instruments and genres and not focused on a particular one. 

Compared to my friends who love practicing to advance their skills in playing instruments, pursue the ideal sound and interpretation, I felt I am not so enthusiastic. It was fun to play instruments, but it also could be enjoyable enough for me if someone with good playing skills would play the pieces  - well, I have a lack of  aptitude for a player, don’t I!? 

Rather than practicing instruments, the thing which has fascinated me so much was to create new music. It makes me absolutely happy when a musical idea, which existed only in my head till that time, will get a form and I can share it with others. 

Afterwards I noticed why I prefer to listen to music than to play by myself: I enjoyed analyzing the compositional structure during listening. It is accordingly exhausting and I can NEVER do something intellectual while listening to music, but it is totally thrilling to get new musical ideas. 

 

And now I have a pretty good feeling and believe that I found my desire. In the end, as a composer I don’t have to be able to play every instrument as good but it is very beneficial to know different musical fields and genres.
